Table of Contents

  • 1. Seychelles
  • 2. Madeira
  • 3. Mauritius
  • 4. Vietnam
  • 5. Bora Bora
  • 6. South Africa
  • 7. Mozambique
  • 8. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • 9. Egypt
  • 10. the Philippines

1. Seychelles

When many people picture their honeymoon, they are sitting on the beach relaxing with a cocktail, and Seychelles is one of the best places in the world to do just that. Seychelles features some of the best beaches in the world together with some of the most luxurious resorts, so you and your partner can be pampered and relaxed.

Swimming and snorkeling are popular activities here, as the islands of this archipelago are surrounded by stunning, clear blue water.

Since honeymoons are about love and memories, we also recommend a unique bonding experience while in Seychelles. If you are able, definitely scuba dive at the Marianne Rock – you will see fabulous rock formations and many exotic fishes.

At the end of a busy day out exploring, you can enjoy a unique romantic dinner on the rocks of Constance Lemuria overlooking clear water. Your best bet is to book the place around sunset as you will get the best views for photos.

2. Madeira

If you’re stuck in the Northern hemisphere, you can still find good weather to enjoy in October by traveling to Madeira. You can book a colonial-style hotel and head out to the island’s main attractions.

Walk along Levada, hire a cable car in Funchal to see the city, or tour the local CR7 museum which hosts some of Cristiano Ronaldo’s impressive awards.

3. Mauritius

Mauritius has the perfect combination of all-inclusive destinations and adventurous holiday destinations that are sure to make your honeymoon the trip of your dreams.

If you are the type of couple who loves to sit back and relax, you can consider a luxury resort or an alternative French colonial stay. If you’re a bit more active, you will find the natural parks in Mauritius to be some of the most spectacular in the world.

4. Vietnam

Hipster couples who like cheap destinations full of character often consider Vietnam as the place to go, and it certainly won’t disappoint as a honeymoon destination.

Although Vietnam does boast some incredible resorts, the country is best enjoyed by couples who thrive on getting out and about in nature.

We recommend the Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park as the place to start exploring rain forests and large caves and Halong Bay as the spot to go kayaking and see stunning vistas with your partner.

5. Bora Bora

Located in the South Pacific, the Bora Bora Islands are the perfect pampered location for you and your partner.

You can enjoy clear blue waters, untouched white sand beaches, and fresh seafood here unlike anywhere else in the world. The islands have a unique charm with their high mountain peaks which can be seen from almost any beach on any island.

6. South Africa

If you’re into wild landscapes and remote experiences, you can see them with your partner in South Africa. South Africa is also fairly easy to fly to, as it has flight connections to virtually all continents.

If you want to experience a town with personality, you can visit Stellenbosch in Western Cape. You’ll find some of the country’s most romantic restaurants here. Kruger National Park is another top location if you’re dying to go on a wildlife viewing adventure.

7. Mozambique

This often-overlooked African destination is certainly a spot for adventurers. This incredible country provides access to one-of-a-kind outdoor adventures, and its serene beaches make the perfect place for relaxing in a hammock with a crisp beer.

Book a romantic kayaking trip or enjoy a private helicopter tour above the Quirimbas Islands. For something off the beaten path, check out the Inhaca Islands as they’re not overrun by tourists yet.

8. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

While known for being an incredibly hot destination, October is actually the perfect time to visit Dubai as temperatures tend to be less extreme.

This city is known for its modern downtown with shopping malls and luxurious spas to enjoy with your partner. You could book any hotel room with a view of downtown Dubai; however, most couples associate the city with Burj Al Arab, a hotel with a 7-star rating and world-class services.

9. Egypt

The weather is at its best in October in Egypt. With temperatures of up to 80 degrees, you can see more, experience more, and live it up here more here than almost anywhere else in the world.

Of course, head over to the pyramids, which are a must-see in this famous country. You can also start your trip in Cairo at an open-air cinema for a warm, romantic evening. Then, book a Nile river cruise for two with a local tour guide.

Sharm El Sheikh resort town is the highest-rated honeymoon destination in the country, so if you’re looking for a place to be pampered, this is the spot.

10. the Philippines

The Philippines is another excellent destination for October honeymoons. With incredible food, stunning scenery, and very affordable prices, a couple can spend quite a bit of time on these islands without breaking the bank or running out of things to do.

Snorkel or scuba dive in the crystal-clear waters, hike through jungles to reach the summits of towering volcanoes, and for the lazy days, chill on the beach and indulge in a relaxing massage.

At night, feast on mouthwatering Filipino dishes and head out to the bars to meet some locals and dance the night away with your partner.
